2025 football fan survey: Bowling Green State University

BOWLING GREEN – A new era of Bowling Green State University football has fans eager for what could happen in the program.
With former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL All-Pro running back Eddie George taking over as Bowling Green’s head coach, the excitement and anticipation for the 2025 season is through the roof. George shined in his playing days at Ohio State University and at the professional level with the Tennessee Titans, but he has proven that he can coach, too, after guiding Tennessee State to a share of the Big South/Ohio Valley Conference title and an FCS playoff berth last year.

The Falcons made significant strides under former coach Scot Loeffler, who guided the team to a bowl game the past three seasons. Bowling Green has also had one of the best Mid-American Conference records during that span in posting a combined 16-8 league record.
With plenty of new faces in the coaching staff and the team – nearly half of the players are in their first year at Bowling Green – the Falcons will be looking to keep their upward trajectory going.

The Blade conducted a Bowling Green football fan survey the past two years and wanted to continue to find out what those who follow the Falcons think of the program. Fans were asked about the state of the program, George, and the transfer portal among other topics.

YOUR REACTION TO BOWLING GREEN HIRING EDDIE GEORGE IN ONE WORD
A vast majority of fans had generally positive comments regarding George’s hire as head coach. Only around a dozen of the 140 respondents felt negative about the move.
Excited, surprised, and energized were some of the most common responses, while brilliant, bold, and splash were also mentioned. Fans on the other end of the spectrum described the move as desperate and overrated.
